  15. I inadvertently tried to connect a USR Sportster 14.4 to a digital PBX 
  16. system. Now the poor modem is deaf - can't hear any dial tone, although 
  17. the PC can communicate with it well. Any way this unfortunate situation 
  18. can be remedied, or has the modem gone kaput forever? Any chances 
  19. of recovery? Thanks.
